Bio

Greetings! I am a lifelong bibliophile, dreamer, and all-around nerd. I live in on some old family property in Upstate South Carolina, where I enjoy late-night reading, kitchen adventures, and keeping up my darling little hundred-years-old home. I love my kids, their animals, and the plants that live.

I believe in the mundane as calling, that the great privilege of a believing artist is to paint the familiar in a different light so as to reveal truth. I believe in goodness, in beauty and redemption, and in story as a vehicle to create culture. Good literature should be a good use of ink. It should shed light, and be unafraid of speaking the truth about the human condition.

If you like all that, let’s be friends. Welcome to Lit.

Aerthe projects...

The Seer’s Grant, Wild Ink Publishing, 2023

Secrets of the Veil, Wild Ink Publishing CURRENT WORK IN PROGRESS...

The mythos of the Keepers of Aerthe continues to unfold in this next installment, as Kelvaar discovers deep secrets and deep lies. But the truth about who and what he is remains hidden, just out of his reach.

Other projects...

Queen Proxy

Adelline would give anything for her people. But her mistress, secretly betrothed to the King of Helion to secure safety for Athelon, is killed by treachery. Athelon’s Court harbors a spy, and other than the Queen’s Champion, her own beloved, she does not know who to trust.

Can they find the traitor before he succeeds in a coup and opens Athelon to Pharasen invasion? More, can she sacrifice her future with the man she loves and secure the alliance by taking her Queen’s place at the King’s side?

The Selkie and the Necromancer

The tale of an unlikely alliance, forged to save a royal sister from kidnappers who prey on fae-kind.

Ellorna, gods-marked Selkie princess of the sea, who seeks to be freed from the dark magic etched into her skin, is on a mission to rescue her sister. Aladorn Thel, a powerful Necromancer whose primary patroness is Death herself.

Will Ellorna accept the aid of a human whose magic is anathema to her? Will either be able to trust the other, when lives are on the line? More, will Death just take a back seat while Aladorn allies with the forces of life?
